“Spring Shades”
Day 83, #2026bigyearproject
Jack Frost can’t seem to decide whether he ought to go to the Southern Hemisphere or hang out here a while longer. (Bounce already, Jack my boy!)
We have things to do and they require us leaving the friendly confines of our home. One day last week, I roamed with only a light jacket. Yesterday, my sleeping bag coat protected me from a cold stinging rain.
Today, the sunshine and blue skies tried to lull us into believing we could eschew heavy clothing. We knew better!
When the bleak midwinter (or last dregs of winter) start making me feel restless, I take in the delicate scent of my teeniest orchid and absorb the bright blooms of my two other tropical plants. I keep colorful blankets around the places where we sit and shiver. I use full-spectrum bulbs. I wear a color palette that uses shades found in wildflower gardens.
I am stretching my limbs after having a hibernation lifestyle. Other growling, drowsy bears and I are venturing out of our caves.
Please join us, Spring! May we entice you by offering lemonade?

Jo-Jo, it’s on its way, honest!! It’s just later rather than sooner.❤️
