“Finding the Tiniest Rare Pebble”

I met a woman at a display of shoes. Earlier, we both bought easy slip-on sneakers in the color black. We liked them so much we returned to get a second pair in taupe.

She asked me what size I needed. We looked through the stack of boxes to find the elusive pair. It was like a Cinderella search!

I asked her what she sought. “Oh! I already have my shoes. I just wanted to help you because I know how hard it is to find them!”

I was flabbergasted by her selflessness. How many other people would be so kind?

In the end, there were no more shoes in my size. It was not meant to be. The better treasure was the discovery of a pure soul.
