“Before, Now, After”
Day 56, #2026bigyearproject
Imagination lets us enjoy fantastic situations, blessings, and joys before they ever come to fruition.
Once they are manifested, we may live in that moment, letting all the luscious sensations fill our souls.
After that marvelous wowza time has gone, we may relive its fantabulousness over and over again through our memories.
Do you let yourself dream? When you do, be sure and ask for every breathtaking detail. The universe is not on a budget. Write those fanciful details with a great pen on smooth paper so that the process of pinning the vision on a page feels sacred and easy. Wiggle your toes with anticipation. Sketch a scene. Make up a song that will become a signature fanfare for the unveiling. In your mind’s eye, live as though the idea is real.
Once that irresistible goal is a tangible result, do a dance of joy! Let the triumph lift your spirits. Give thanks. Absorb the grace. Take photographs, paint the town red, crow with abandon. Be right in the middle of the dazzle.
After the huzzurah, you may go back to the emotions of that pinnacle moment as often as you like. While you sit in heavy traffic, let your mind wander back to the greatest times of your existence. Walk into those musings as though you have re-entered a room. Hug the characters who were with you. Sniff the rarefied air. Let the tears flow. Throw your head back with laughter as you recall how silly your aunt looked when she wore two different shoes. Applaud for successful recitals, game-winning plays, and the afternoon your kid learned to ride a bike.
If you anticipate, savor, and repeat, you don’t only live once.
